Get The Look 08

Pink Skirt £19.75 Forever 21 , 'Crimson' Lipstick £6 M&S , Blue Shirt £15 River Island , Nude Heels £60 Asos
This look is from Twenty8Twelve which is Sienna Millers joint designer brand she has with her sister, they have a great way of showing a relaxed summery style. I have always liked their collections especially their summer ones, this look is pretty and quite simple but its definitely not plain with the denim shirt. I like the fact they have mixed feminine with masculine, adding the court shoes have stopped it from being too relaxed. Ive also put it with the the 'Crimson' lipstick from Marks and Spencer's beauty range, there has been hype about this before I do think its a great lipstick especially for a bargain £6. Obviously the only thing with this look is you will have to flash some flesh where your legs are concerned, I don't think it would work with tights with the dusky pink skirt. With so many good fake tan products out you cant go wrong with getting out your pins, or you could go on holiday to get your summer glow (perfect excuse to go away so you can wear skirts....)
What do you think of this look? Would you wear it?

Razzmatazz Tuesday

I picked this nail varnish up while browsing in Topshop the other day, its called Razzmatazz and I love it. I love glitter nail varnishes but there isn't always that many decent colours out there, a lot of them are very bright or barely there. This lilac/silver colour is great I like the fact hat it picks up so many different colours through the glitter and it isn't just a rough grainy varnish as some glitter ones are. I wasn't sure how the build up would be as the first layer that went on was quite clear, but this is what it looks like after two coats. I think it looks good with two coats its easy to apply and the glitter is quite thick so it covers the nail well, next time I might do three layers and see if that makes it a little stronger. As Ive said before I'm a big fan of Topshop nail varnishes, I have my eye on a couple more of the glitter varnishes so I'll get them some time this week and blog them. What do you think of this nail varnish? Do you like the glitter trend?

Pout Paint

Ive been trying to get my hands on the Sleek range for ages but every time its sold out, finally I managed to get the last one of the pink Pout Paints. I was so excited I put it on as soon as I got it and I have to say I love it!

Its a bright almost neon pink stain (a lot brighter than in my photo) that you can wear alone or mix with other lip products, I personally love the fact that its so bright Il be wearing it on its own. They do some slightly strange colours in the Pout Paint range I saw a bright blue, I'm guessing this is a good colour to mix with not sure I could quite pull it off.

It says on the tube you only need a small amount and I have to say the tube doesn't lie, more than a drop and it spreads like wildfire I didn't see this at first so I slapped it on only to look like a drunk old lady (minus the blue eyeshadow). Once I got the hang of it I really was impressed with the colour, it goes on really easy and the colour is even and not sticky or dry. I usually find with stains it dries as your still applying it so it becomes patchy and dry but this is glossy.

I will say though the one thing that was a slight problem is when it dries on your hands it stains good. I had to wash my hands quite a few times to get it off it was messy so I definitely think it has to be applied with a lip brush. This could be slightly annoying on a night out when you've had a few Sherry's but I'm willing to give it a go as so far I'm converted and will be buying more.

What do you think have you tried these? Did you like them?

Get The Look 07

Dress £49.99 Zara, Handcuff Necklace £6 Asos, 'Ruby Woo' Lipstick £13.50 Mac, Champagne Sandals £65 Office

Every girl loves a bit of Christian Dior and when I saw this dress I wanted it its a great flirty shape to suit all sizes. The thing is for most of us to get our hands on this dress we would have to sell our houses to get it, so
I was surprised to see this similar dress in Zara for only £49.99. I think its the perfect summer night dress, great for any lucky gals out there going on a date (I'm still waiting for Johnny Depp, he will call......)

These shoes from office are perfect dancing shoes and they are always in store, I have a friend who gets a new pair every few months to replace the battered pair that's done the rounds at party's/weddings etc. Not great if your like me and can be a bit lazy with the feet though, I always neglect mine and then really regret it when people stare at them.

I thought 'Ruby Woo' would be a great shade of lippy as its the perfect red to me, It pretty much goes with every skin tone I think everyone should own this lipstick (and many more if your like me). The picture doesn't show a necklace but I think it needs something, as I am like Mr T I cant go out without bling, so I thought this simple necklace would look good.

Is this your perfect date look? Have you seen similar styles else where that is easier on the purse?

Monochrome

Yesterday I was a bit naughty and went and bought some (well a lot) of things I really didn't need......
This monochrome shirt was one of them, although it was only £10 from Primark so really its justified!
I saw a similar one in Topshop for a hell of a lot more and although the quality may be better for throw away fashion its perfect. I was really impressed with the shirts they have in at the moment you can get four shirts from Primark for the price of one from Topshop.

I'm also wearing my new pink Sleek Pout Paint that I got yesterday, I managed to snap the last one that hadn't been opened. I'm finding it really difficult at the moment to get my hands on the Sleek range in Birmingham, everywhere I go its sold out or ruined. I really want one of the Sleek lipsticks in Mystic has anyone managed to bag one of these?

Also I have a new nail varnish on ( I know I didn't need another but its glitter) its from Topshop and its called Razzmatazz, its a lilac glitter and I love it I feel a bit like a drag queen but in a good way.

I will be blogging about these two new products later, Has anyone else had a guilty splurge this weekend?

Get The Look 06...........

Orange Blazer £45 Miss Selfridge, Black Caged Heels £50 River Island, White Sunglasses £18 Jeepers Peepers, Black & White Shorts £30 Asos, Orange Clutch £29.99 Zara
This orange look is from designer Rebecca Minkoff, I'm seeing this colour everywhere it was all over the S/S catwalks and obviously filtered into the high street. I love it I think it suits most people and can definitely make a statement when worn well.

I never usually match a bag to an outfit exactly but I think it works here, I really like this Zara bag its not too dressy and you can wear it either way (the strap is detachable). The shoes from River Island are pretty much an exact copy of the ones seen on the catwalk, they look comfy for heels and are probably less than a third of the price. I'm not a massive fan of white sunglasses they always remind me of Kanye West, but I think because the outfit is tailored they actually look good.

Obviously I'm showing this outfit as an exact copy but you can of course mix and match to what you would prefer, I have seen a wicked orange lace blazer in River Island that would be great too.

What do you think of this look? Is orange a good colour for you?

Get The Look 05.......

Zigzag Coat £90 Asos, White Tshirt £10 Topshop, Orange Snakeskin Heels £35 Office, Grey Shorts £22 Topshop, Orange Court Shoes £22.99 New Look
This summer look is from designer Roksanda Ilincic, I really loved her relaxed tailoring style from S/S12 I like mixing pop/bright colours. I know the coat doesn't quite scream summer but we all know the weather in the UK doesn't always do what we want. I think as long as you get a nice summer colour you cant go wrong, I also think a floral Mac would look amazing with the grey shorts.
I think the Orange Snakeskin Heels from Office are a bargain they have gone from £65 to £35 in the sale, so if you like them get in there quick!. The orange court shoes from new look are another great alternative as they have a lower heel, If you wanted to wear it in the day they would be great. Heels in the day aren't always the best I know I struggle when I'm running round but you could replace them with similar colour flats. What do you think of this simple but chic look? would you wear this?

Zodiac

I bought this nail varnish from Topshop a few weeks ago, but as the past few weeks have been hectic I have only just got round to trying it. I love Topshop nail varnishes I think they are a great price and I usually want every single colour, so when I saw this Zodiac shade I had to have it.

I love metallic shades they are great for nights out and they normally go with most outfits. So knowing I was going out I reached for this, I applied two thin coats which dried great with no streaks or bubbles so off I went. It wasn't until I got outside I realised I looked like I had a fungal nail infection, not quite the look I was going for. I am disappointed as I do love this green/silver shade and in the bottle it looked so good, but outside it was a mouldy green colour.

I'm guessing this all comes down to my skin tone, as you know I'm
so pale and it stood out on my hands for all the wrong reasons. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a darker skin tone as I'm sure it would look great. Anyone out there that's as pale as me I would say don't do it, especially on your toes!!

Has anyone else tried this? Did you feel the same or am I just being paranoid?

Shes Alive!!!!

Don't believe the rumours I am alive! I haven't blogged for at least a week and that's a long time for me. I have had so many birthdays and things going on today I have finally stopped. As you can see I have had to go minimal makeup as my skin has certainly caught up with my hectic 3 weeks its horrible. Also check out my new 80s TV presenter vintage jumper I got from COW in Birmingham, I feel like I should be on Blue Peter holding some sticky back plastic and stroking Shep the dog. (not with the same hand that could get messy). I am going to get back into blogging mode as from today so you can expect more sarcasm and bad grammar from now on. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Oh Honey Honey

So going back a few weeks I was having my usual skin dilemma and decided to cave into the hype (as always) and invest in some Manuka Doctor skincare which I blogged about here. I have decided to use it and test it out for a while before I decided to give a full review, I do think especially when its a skincare routine for a specific problem it needs time to work.

So as I was saying I bought it and thought as it had been raved about by many celebs It must have something good to offer. At first it did the cleanser cleaned right down into my skin and made it feel fresh and oil free, the lotion sank in really well and I didn't have much issue with oil (I'm usually ready to re-apply my makeup after an hour my skin is that oily).

After a couple of weeks I started to notice my face was getting slightly tingly and a bit sore in patches, then one morning I woke up and my face was so dry it was seriously painful. It didn't look too red but it was definitely aggravated, anything I put on burned my skin. As I had only been using this I knew it was these products that had done it. I had to leave my skin for a few days free of all things except cold water and a bit of E45.

I ended up buying a Vitamin E bar which I have blogged about here, as my skin needed some relief from the burn I was feeling. I have to say this little bar of soap was a miracle worker for me, it cleansed my skin but took away that dry itchy feeling after a while. I decided to use this along with the Manuka Doctor, thinking maybe if I use the foam cleanser and lotion in the morning and Vitamin E bar and my favourite Nivea Regenerating Night Cream at night it may work. It has finally I think due to the fact that my skin is oily but sensitive these acne products and me don't mix, but I didn't want to give up hope! I will probably just use this till it runs out soon and then try something else as this brand is certainly not a friend of mine.

Have you tried these products? did you get a better result than I did?

Get The Look 04......

Flower Print Trousers - Zara £39.99, Grey Tee - Topshop £10, 'Morange' Lipstick - MAC £13.50, Navy Blazer - H&M £34.99, Mint Brogues - Topshop £60
This summer look is from Karen Walker, I like the fact that its relaxed but still smart and the mint green brogues give it an edge. I think it would work with most pattern trousers, but I love these from Zara they do tailoring really well. Also paired this outfit with 'Morange' Lipstick from Mac because it gives a great pop of colour, another one from Mac that I love 'Costa Chic' if you didn't want to be too bold that's a pretty coral shade. What do you think, is this something you would wear as we are getting closer to summer?

Chica Boom Boom

Ive wanted to try H&M nail varnishes for ages I always forget to pick one up, but this time I managed to get my hands on this little gem last week. Its called Chica Boom Boom and its a bright orange shade, which is perfect for the summer days (even though they have disappeared?!). I normally struggle with orange colours as they can be quite yellow and my pale skin doesn't suit it at all, this one was great for me though as it has a slight red tone instead. I have to say I'm quite impressed with these nail varnishes for £2.99 you cant complain, its a decent size and they have loads of colours in the range. I think the brush is a good size too and because of the size and shape of the lid I found it easy to hold when applying it to my nails. It did take a couple of good coats to get an even colour but I find that's always the way with bright varnish. Have you ever tried these? Was you impressed?
